Job description

Perform assembly operations in accordance with established product, safety and quality standards. This team-oriented role will involve interpretations of electrical and mechanical drawings. Work with engineers and technicians to identify process improvement to improve safety, productivity, and quality.
Technical Job Functions
  • Must be J standard certified (Solder).
  • Construct electro-mechanical assemblies for multiple product types.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assemble products.
  • Ability to move to any assembly job function within the facility.
  • Perform inspection of parts for defects. Record and interpret data for process control charts. Recognize and suggest improvements to the process.
  • Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Manager of hazardous situations.
  • Participate in and take proactive roles in ISO, AS9100, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification, and solution verification.

Other Responsibilities
  • Train assemblers to provide high quality, on-time products to meet customer requirements.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
  • Reports to Production Supervisor. Has contact with internal and external customers and co-workers.
  • Operates a variety of equipment to assemble products. Produces products to conform to engineering drawings assembly documentation and quality required. Performs minor set-ups/adjustments.
  • Assume other projects and responsibilities as directed.
  • Employee may be responsible for the generation, labeling, storage, and other general management of hazardous waste. Employee requires "Hazardous Waste Management Training" once per year in accordance with Minn. R. 7045.0292 if job responsibilities include handling hazardous waste.
  • Employee may elect respirator use while performing job tasks use per Respiratory Protection Program.
  • Employee may be responsible for the generation, labeling, storage, and other general management of hazardous waste. Employee requires "Hazardous Waste Management Training" once per year in accordance with Minn. R. 7045.0292 if job responsibilities include handling hazardous waste.
  • Employee may elect respirator use while performing job tasks use per Respiratory Protection Program.

Basic Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical or manufacturing assembly or specialized training preferred.
• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
