Who We Are

Advantage Renewables is a leading renewable energy developer focused on advancing the clean energy transition through innovation, technical excellence, and disciplined project development. The Company’s success depends on a strong culture of collaboration, integrity, and commitment to quality across every stage of the project lifecycle.

About the Role

Advantage Capital is seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Agent to support the development of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects throughout the Midwest. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, securing, and managing land rights necessary for project development while building long-term relationships with landowners and local stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, negotiate complex agreements, and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of renewable energy land acquisition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Identify, evaluate, and secure land opportunities for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, attorneys, surveyors, title companies, and other key stakeholders.

· Conduct property ownership research, title review, and due diligence to support project development.

· Draft, negotiate, and execute option agreements, leases, easements, amendments, and other real estate agreements related to renewable energy development.

· Coordinate with internal development, legal, engineering, and project management teams throughout the acquisition process.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate records, timelines, and reporting.

· Travel throughout the Midwest to meet with landowners, attend community meetings, and conduct site visits as needed.

· Monitor project milestones and proactively resolve land-related issues that could impact project schedules.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of local market conditions, permitting requirements, and renewable energy industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition for renewable energy projects, with a demonstrated history of successfully securing land rights.

· Experience supporting solar and/or battery energy storage (BESS) development projects.

· Strong knowledge of land acquisition processes, title research, easements, leases, and real estate transactions.

· Proven ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with landowners and community stakeholders.

· Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating renewable energy land agreements.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines.

· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

· Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest as project needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with utility-scale renewable energy development.

· Familiarity with GIS mapping tools, title software, or county land record systems.

· Knowledge of state and local permitting requirements related to renewable energy projects.

· Existing network of Midwest landowners, brokers, or industry contacts is a plus.
