THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION WITH THE INTENT TO HIRE FULL TIME
WILLING TO PROVIDE TRAINING
FLEXIBLE SHIFT TIME RANGE FROM 5AM-5PM
EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Marian is looking for someone reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Looking for a team player who is eager to develop and grow within the company. We are looking for someone who possess strong oral and written communication skills and display some degree of technical know-how. Mathematical, analytical, and mechanical skills are also essential to success as a machinist. Under general supervision with general instruction, this position is responsible for performing moderately complex functions related to machine tools. Must have a good work history and track record.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs.
  • Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.
  • Completes equipment set-ups in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures.
  • Records length of time and quantity of materials used for each job.
  • Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.
  • Helps to train fellow employees or temps on machines, reading blueprints, understanding routings, and policies.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
  • Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries.
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

BENEFITS :
  • After two months of Marian employment, eligible for health (dental and vision available but paid fully by employee).
  • 401k after one year with up to a 4% match.
  • 1 week vacation and 1 week PTO after 6 months from your temp start date (assuming you are a Marian employee by then and we don't really have temps on ever longer than 6 months since we should know by then if we want to hire you or not).
  • 2 weeks vacation and 1 week PTO after 18 months of being with us.
  • Attendance/Punctuality Bonus program based on points where you can earn up to 4 weeks bonus for just coming to work and being on time.
  • Flexible Schedule (open from 5AM-5PM) so can work 8hrs in between any of those times once we get you trained up after a month or so.
