Mission Produce is the global leader in the worldwide avocado business, with additional offerings in mangos. We own and operate four packing facilities in multiple global locations including California, Mexico, and Peru. Our global distribution network includes 16 forward distribution centers in North America, China, Europe and the Netherlands, which promote company expansion into new territories and categories. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for stacking boxes on pallets by size and type.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the various pallet configurations based on the different boxes and stack units accordingly.
  • Utilize any supporting stacking material for all product types including, but not limited to, corner boards and pallet wraps or straps.
  • Ensure the working area is clean and production ready at all times according to company standards.
  • Begin work on time and complete work in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
  • Undergo safety and job training pertinent to your job.
  • Duties may vary based on demand and will be directed by supervisor or lead.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work and communicate well with supervisors, leads and fellow employees.
  • Ability to accomplish and manage tasks in a timely manner without constant direct supervision.
  • Ability to assess work related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to stack pallets according to company and customer quality standards.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and carry out any new process established in the workplace.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, temperatures between 35 and 45 degrees and safely work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, stoop, kneel, crouch, smell, etc. as needed to perform essential tasks.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.94

*Upon offer, candidate will be referred to a temp agency for onboarding.
