Responsibilities

The Supervisor of Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the patient safety risk management program and staff, including patient safety activities, education of Just Culture and error investigation, evaluation, and resolution. Coordinates assigned tasks, claim reviews, and adverse event investigations, along with all regulatory investigations and complaints. Connects internal and external resources/services to manage all clinical patient care cases in which an adverse event has occurred. Supports Director when complaint validation surveys and other regulatory investigations occur. Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, staffing, and coordination of the quality improvement process.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or relevant field required

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required

  • CPHRM - Certified Healthcare Risk Management or equivalent certification in Risk Management or Patient Safety required
