A temporary green card, such as a conditional permanent resident card, generally allows you to work legally in the United States if you have proper employment authorization. It is important to have the appropriate documentation, such as an Employment Authorization Document (EAD), to work legally during this period. Once the conditions are removed and you receive a permanent green card, your employment rights are typically extended accordingly.
