Job description

A Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical support to production work cells for continuous improvement with specific focus on quality, productivity, cost reductions, safety, and effective corrective actions.
Are You Looking To:
  • Develop and maintain detailed work instructions and visual aids for product assembly. Implements procedures that ensure continued operational excellence throughout the plant.
  • Interface with production operators and technicians to establish Manufacturing standards and methods for inspection, testing, and product qualification.
  • Interpret technical documentation related to product manufacturing and acceptability such as schematics; engineering drawings, customer-controlled specifications, and military/industry standards.
  • Support and assist in implementation of all key matrices. Records, summarizes, and presents data/information significant to department operations.
  • Monitor trends in quality data (yields, defects per million, scrap, CARs), executes corrective actions and identifies continual improvement opportunities in response to product and process failures.
  • Drive the optimization of process efficiency and effectiveness (yields) through collaboration with production operators, supervisors, and technicians by utilizing effective root cause and corrective action analysis.
  • Document process procedures and specifications which conforms to established HAZMET regulations and
  • general safety practices.
  • Initiate Continuous Improvement activities.

Are You Ready To:
  • Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and other engineering staff to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Perform thorough root-cause analysis, creates project plans and timelines, implements changes, and verifies the effectiveness of those changes.
  • Define the manufacturing review process to verify/improve production and ensure that tooling and assembly processes are in place to for efficient assembly practice.
  • Demonstrate competency in the design and evaluation of tooling, fixturing, and gauging.
  • Lead cost reduction efforts across the operation that decreases labor and material costs.
  • Other duties as required

What You'll Need:
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
  • 1-5 years relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
