Position: Shipping Technician
Location: Norcross, GA, 30071
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Job Description: Performs the tasks and functions associated with the packing and shipping of client products, maintaining Finished Goods inventory, product handling and storage.
Inventory Management - ensure new inventory is stored in the appropriate warehouse and manage transfers between inventory locations.
Pulls and packs orders for both domestic and international orders.
Work with regulatory to ensure all international shipments are shipped and labeled appropriately
Prepares FedEx, DHL, UPS, and Freight Forwarder labeling/paperwork and coordinates pick-ups.
Orders and manages shipping supplies to ensure shipping needs are met and department budgets are maintained.
Operates department equipment which may include computers, printers, tape machines, and carts.
Performs annual and preventative maintenance on department equipment.
Receives and rotates product into Finished Goods.
Warehouse work (storing/rotating supplies, re-stacking pallets & organizing storage areas).
Performs weekly cycle counts and physical year end inventory (as applicable)
Housekeeping- maintains a neat, clean and orderly work environment.
Demonstrates knowledge of products, procedures, policies, systems, & company organization as it relates to job requirements.
Follows applicable company procedures and policy.
Cross train with Receiving and acts as support or backup as necessary
