Looking for Your Next Opportunity in Financial Investigations or Forensic Advisory?
At DLA, our Forensic Valuation & Litigation Services (FVLS) team supports clients in high-stakes situations involving financial disputes, accounting-driven conflicts, and allegations of financial misconduct. We partner with attorneys, boards, and executive teams to deliver rigorous forensic accounting analyses, defensible GAAP interpretations, and data-driven findings that stand up in litigation and arbitration. If you're passionate about complex financial investigations and want to build a practice in a people-first firm, you'll find meaningful work here with a team that values People First, are Driven to Deliver, Embraces Change, and are Better Together.
We're currently looking for a Partner - Financial Investigations to join our Forensic Valuation & Litigation Services (FVLS) practice. If you're ready to lead complex financial investigations, advise senior decision-makers in contested matters, and help grow a national forensic practice while advancing your own career, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
As a leader at the firm, you will spearhead the expansion of DLA's financial investigations capabilities through hands-on engagement leadership and practice development. Your day-to-day may include:
  • Leading financial investigations arising from commercial disputes
  • Analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and solvency
  • Interpreting GAAP in judgmental or contested situations
  • Directing forensic data analysis across ERP systems
  • Advising attorneys, boards, and executive leadership
  • Developing expert reports and litigation support materials
  • Overseeing engagement economics, billing, and realization
  • Generating business aligned to disputes and investigations
  • Mentoring and developing forensic accounting professionals

What You'll Bring
We know great leaders come from many paths. Some things we typically look for:
  • CPA required; forensic or valuation credentials preferred
  • Extensive experience in financial investigations or disputes
  • Deep knowledge of financial reporting and GAAP interpretation
  • Experience working in adversarial or high-stakes environments
  • Proven success advising legal counsel and senior executives
  • Strong leadership, judgment, and client-facing presence
  • Established business development capabilities
  • Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication skills

Why DLA
We're not your typical firm. DLA combines the strength of a national advisory platform with the agility and autonomy of an entrepreneurial practice. You'll have the opportunity to shape a growing forensic investigations practice, collaborate closely with firm leadership, and focus on sophisticated, accounting-driven disputes rather than regulatory or compliance-heavy work. Here's what sets us apart:
  • Focus on complex commercial disputes, not enforcement programs
  • Ability to build and grow your own forensic platform
  • Direct access to firm leadership and decision-makers
  • Flexible PTO (plus your birthday as a holiday)
  • Hybrid work model with flexibility built in
  • 401(k) match, referral programs, and comprehensive benefits

Come Be a Part of Our Success Story
At DLA, we're committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. Driven by our mission to deliver forward-thinking, client-focused advisory services, we hire great people from all backgrounds because it makes our firm stronger.
