What's the Role


The Financial Analyst serves as a key financial partner to our manufacturing operations, helping leaders understand performance, control costs, and make informed business decisions. This role supports plant and corporate leadership through financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and operational insights that drive efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and accounting teams to analyze production results, identify trends, and improve financial performance. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to connect financial data with day-to-day plant operations in a fast-paced production setting.


What You'll Own


Analyze manufacturing costs, labor utilization, material consumption, and overhead spending

Monitor and investigate production variances - yield, usage, labor, and efficiency - and recommend improvements

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports for plant and finance leadership

Support inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and initiatives to reduce shrinkage, waste, and obsolescence

Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accrual analysis, and journal entries

Partner with accounting teams to ensure manufacturing transactions are accurately recorded

Support the annual budget process and periodic forecasting for labor, material, and overhead spending

Partner with plant leadership on cost-saving opportunities and capital investment proposals

Requirements


What You Bring


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field

2-5 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Manufacturing Finance, Cost Accounting, or a related analytical role

Manufacturing industry experience required; food, industrial, consumer products, or packaging production environments strongly preferred

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting

Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools and ERP systems preferred

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner across operations, supply chain, and accounting teams

Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
