Job description

An International Hotel Brand seeks a Hotel Revenue Analyst to work closely with the VP of Revenue Management to maximize to support the revenue performance of a distinctive portfolio of hotels across dynamic urban markets. This role plays a critical part in driving revenue growth, market share, and profitability through data-driven decision-making, pricing optimization, forecasting, and strategic revenue management initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with hospitality revenue management expertise and advanced Excel skills. Working closely with the Revenue Management team, the Revenue Analyst will evaluate demand trends, monitor competitive positioning, support forecasting and budgeting processes, and help execute strategies that maximize RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and overall revenue performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, execution, and evaluation of revenue strategies designed to maximize RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and overall profitability.
  • Analyze booking pace, pickup trends, business mix, and demand patterns to identify revenue opportunities and risks.
  • Assist in optimizing market segmentation, length-of-stay controls, rate restrictions, and inventory management strategies.
  • Test, measure, and evaluate pricing and revenue initiatives to drive market share growth and improved revenue performance.
  • Constantly working on analytics and Excel-related projects.
  • Assist with weekly, monthly, and long-range forecasting processes through detailed analysis of historical trends, current booking patterns, and future demand indicators.
  • Monitor market conditions, demand generators, competitive activity, and industry trends to support revenue recommendations.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis using STR reports and other benchmarking tools to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Support annual budgeting activities through forecasting analysis and performance insights.
  • Manage and monitor pricing structures, rate strategy tiers, and inventory controls across multiple properties.
  • Evaluate competitive pricing across distribution channels and recommend adjustments to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with demand fluctuations, business objectives, and market conditions.
  • Support inventory allocation decisions to maximize revenue opportunities across transient, group, and negotiated business segments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospitality revenue management, revenue analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of hotel revenue management principles, including pricing strategy, inventory management, forecasting, and distribution.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience analyzing booking pace, pickup, market segmentation, channel performance, and demand trends.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and communicate actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
