Paralegal
Location: Mclean, VA & Richmond, VA
Work Environment: Hybrid (In-Office + Remote)
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our in-house legal team at a growing SaaS company. This role will serve as a key operational partner to a lean legal department, supporting a broad range of commercial and compliance matters.
The ideal candidate is proactive, tech-savvy, and able to work quickly and independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a hybrid position requiring a combination of in-office and remote work.
What You'll Do:
Commercial Contract Support
  • Support attorneys throughout the contract lifecycle, including version control, tracking, and execution
  • Assist with review and preparation of NDAs, contract amendments, and other commercial agreements
  • Assist with vendor and customer agreement management

Contract & Legal Operations Management
  • Maintain and manage Company's contract database, ensuring agreements are properly stored and metadata is accurate and up to date
  • Organize and oversee legal files, repositories, and internal tracking systems
  • Assist with entity compliance and corporate maintenance across multiple domestic and foreign jurisdictions

Cross-Functional & Operational Support
  • Partner with teams across the organization to provide legal documentation and support responses to procurement, proposal, and other business-related information requests
  • Pull and summarize contract history, account context, and related communications when needed
  • Provide general operational and administrative support to attorneys

What You'll Need:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is a plus
  • Experience with government contracts preferred

Professional Experience Required:
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in-house or supporting commercial transactions; will consider exceptional recent college graduates with an interest in going to law school
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with commercial contracts and legal documentation
  • Familiarity with contract management systems and legal databases
