Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technician 1 Aggreko Event Services based in any US City near an Aggreko facility.

You'll provide specialized broadcast power support for live sports and media productions with networks such as ESPN, NBC, and CBS, understanding their unique site setup requirements and timelines.

What you'll do as a Technician 1 Aggreko Event Services

  • You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects for temporary event power solutions - scalable, secure, and sound-attenuated power generation tailored to venue needs.
  • Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
  • Install and commission for Events Services and other complex projects
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Events Services and in the service centers
  • Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
  • Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
  • Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
  • Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.

You are:

  • Able to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods of time
  • Must be located near an Aggreko facility, with up to 75% travel
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience with event and entertainment
  • Experience servicing, testing and installing commercial HVAC or industrial diesel generators
