General Function
efactory is Missouri State University's Center for Business and Economic Development. We are proud to be the go-to resource for business support and talent development solutions. We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Part-Time Operations Assistant. This role is often the first point of contact for visitors, clients, students, and partners, providing an exceptional customer experience while supporting daily operations, programs, initiatives, and events.
Description of Primary Duties
Specific Duties:
Front Desk & Administrative Support
  • Greet guests in a professional, welcoming manner.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and manage general inquiries to ensure prompt follow-up.
  • Support mail, deliveries, office supply inventory, and workspace organization.
  • Maintain front desk systems, sign-in processes, and general office procedures.
  • Support department administrative needs and functions.

Member & Partner Support
  • Serve as a resource for efactory members - assisting with building access, printing, meeting rooms, and general requests.
  • Work with the Community Coordinator, Member Relations to support onboarding of new members and maintain updated records in management systems.
  • Assist with meeting preparation and meeting space management.

Program & Event Support
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for programs and events.
  • Help with event setup, check-in, hospitality, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assist in maintaining a professional, engaging environment.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, customer-service mindset.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic office technology.
  • Previous administrative, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Availability for daytime shifts. This role is currently being considered as temporary, part-time support.

Additional Qualifications
Special Instructions to Applicants
This is a part time position between 10-20 hours. Hours will typically fall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will be determined at a later date. The location of this position will be at efactory, 405 N. Jefferson.
