With additional field offices across Seattle, we're committed to expanding housing opportunities, strengthening communities, and supporting a workplace where people grow and thrive.

The position: We're hiring a temporary Event Hall Custodian to support event setup, breakdown, and janitorial duties across SHA rental facilities and commercial spaces. Responsibilities include cleaning common areas and restrooms, setting up and taking down event equipment (chairs, tables, AV, trash stations), confirming event details with renters, opening and securing spaces, and coordinating with security as needed. This is a temporary full-time position with an expected end date on September 10, 2026.

The Location: NewHolly - 3815 S Othello St Seattle, WA 98118 The ideal candidate will have: EXPERIENCE: One year of experience/training in the Janitorial trade One year of customer service experience with the general public or other related experience. EDUCATION: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirement up to two years.

What will you do. Set up chairs, tables, podiums, and microphones per renter layout; confirm details with renters. Provide event trash stations; empty and sort waste per SHA guidelines.

Confirm renters' setup/breakdown times and any after-hours security needs. Clean common areas and restock supplies; check appliances and report issues. Document and report renter-caused damage or excessive cleaning needs.

Support team goals through reliable work, teamwork, and respectful communication. Attend required safety trainings; use PPE; report injuries, hazards, and incidents; follow all safety procedures. For additional information on the job, please see the full job description.
