Temporary Event Security
Show Me CenterPart-Time, Variable Shifts
Position Available/Potential Start date: 7/22/26
Primary Responsibilities
  • Enforce Show Me Center facility policies to create a safe and enjoyable experience for facility guests
  • Prevent the unauthorized entry of prohibited items
  • Conduct security checks through the utilization of weapons detectors and bag searches
  • Monitor crowd flow and manage potential disturbances
  • Direct foot traffic and manage lines
  • Serve guests in a gracious and accommodating manner; resolve guest issues
  • Maintain clear communication with other security personnel, event coordinators, and guests
  • Address disruptive or unruly behavior
  • Ensure a safe environment during and after events, including assisting with cleanup and breakdown
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
  • Ability to address situations quickly and make sound decisions
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to identify potential security risks and hazards
