Job description

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED Certification.

Vocational/Specialized Training in AutoCAD, Engineering, and/or Surveying.

2-3 years of experience in drafting, staking and surveying

2-3 years of experience with electric, gas, water/wastewater operations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Prepares engineering line design, drafting and feasibility cost estimates for utility extensions reservation-wide.

Prepares "as-built" drawings from data on completed work orders.

Assists with issuing work order numbers and filing documents.

Coordinates changes and/or additions of work orders with respective NTUA personnel.

Assists in the survey of proposed or existing facilities.

Assists and/or obtains right-of-way, archaeological clearances and similar field clearances.

Represents NTUA at meeting with customers, consultants and contractors in reference to assigned projects.

Maintains NTUA work order status log and reports status to immediate supervisor.

Maintains maps.

Performs field verifications and checks completed maps.

Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number or other identifying mark.

Contacts customers to investigate conditions and/or obtain necessary information for completion of requests for new services.

Processes telephone and television cable companies on joint use application.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
