Job Title: 1st Shift Brake Press Operator

Job Description

The 1st Shift Brake Press Operator operates press brake equipment to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to detailed project specifications. This role requires strong technical proficiency with CNC press brakes, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a consistent focus on accuracy and quality while meeting production deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal, steel plate, and structural components according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to set up and run jobs accurately.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling based on bend allowances, material type, and required forming techniques.
  • Perform machine setups, including programming or inputting correct parameters for each job.
  • Monitor production runs to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Inspect finished parts and make adjustments to machine settings or tooling as needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Handle and position sheet metal and steel components safely during setup and operation.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status, issues, or improvement opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • 2–5 years of press brake operating experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment preferred.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC press brake machines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
