Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a CNC Machine Operator for a manufacturer in Conroe, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19–$25/hr. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines to perform drilling, milling, and grinding operations on precision parts. This is a long-term opportunity with a manufacturer that holds AS9100D aerospace quality certification.


Pay: $19–$25/hr

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location: Conroe, TX

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory


Responsibilities

  • Load and unload raw materials into CNC machinery safely and correctly.
  • Verify part specifications by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces using calipers and gauges.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and perform tool wear offsets.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on CNC machinery.
  • Complete daily production logs to track cycle time, quantity, and quality.
  • Clean and maintain work area throughout the shift.


Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on machining experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with drilling, milling, and grinding operations on CNC equipment.
  • Familiarity with tool wear offsets and basic CNC program editing.
  • Ability to apply basic math concepts fractions, percentages, ratios to machining situations.
  • Experience working in an aerospace, defense, or precision fluid components environment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D quality standards or similar quality management systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring equipment such as calipers and gauges to meet tolerance requirements.
