Job description

Desktop Support Technician II

Candidate must work onsite 5 days/week in Arlington, TX.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm CST (No expected OT).

Top skills:

1) End support of Windows 11 and Office 365 issues

2) Hands on support of IT equipment (desktop/laptops, printers, etc.)

3) IT end user support in a logistics/distribution environment - preferred

4) Hands on support of RF scan guns and thermal printers (Zebra/Lexmark)

Details: A TEKsystems client in Arlington, TX is seeking a Desktop Support resource to assist in the support of PC’s, Printer’s and RF devices used by Global Logistics associates in their Arlington, Texas Distribution Facility.

Support can consist of day-to-day trouble calls or user requests, supporting on-going projects related to these types of devices and routine device maintenance / upkeep. The potential candidate must be reasonably adept in troubleshooting problems with some or all these types of devices, communicating and follow-up with end users of various levels within the organization, along with providing excellent customer service.

This resource will be supporting roughly 300 end users (Global Logistics associates) with approximately 25 tickets per shift, per person.

Technologies: Predominantly Windows 11/Office 365. 

Additionally, this resource will be working with:

-Microsoft Office 365

-Laser Jet Printers

-Supporting Zebra Label Printers

-RF (Radio Frequency) Devices (this candidate needs experience with Wireless Network Connectivity)

-Candidate will be troubleshooting the following: Outlook / Microsoft Office / Word / Excel

-This candidate will need basic Networking skills in order to effectively communicate with the Network Engineer

-The client uses the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Manhattan PkMS and RedWorks Pick-to-Light

-ServiceNow Ticketing System

-This position involves a lot of walking

-Ideal candidate is able to lift a minimum of 50lbs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
