Campaign Field Fellow - Door-to-Door Canvassing

Pay: $25/hour

Hours per Shift: 4-5 hours, seasonal/short-term assignments

North Shore Strategies is seeking Campaign Field Fellows to support Democratic campaign efforts throughout Schenectady, NY.
This is a paid, field-based position centered on door-to-door canvassing and direct voter contact. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in political organizing while speaking directly with voters, delivering campaign messages, collecting voter feedback, and helping campaigns identify and mobilize supporters.
This is an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, aspiring political professionals, or anyone interested in gaining practical campaign and organizing experience.About the Role
Campaign Field Fellows work on the front lines of our campaign programs. The primary responsibility of this position is going door-to-door and having conversations with voters.
Fellows will receive training on campaign messaging, voter engagement, canvassing technology, and grassroots organizing techniques before conducting voter outreach in assigned communities.Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing and speak directly with voters at their homes
  • Deliver accurate and persuasive campaign messaging
  • Identify supporters, undecided voters, and other voter feedback
  • Record voter responses and canvassing results using campaign technology
  • Meet daily voter-contact and door-knocking goals
  • Attend trainings, briefings, and team meetings
  • Represent North Shore Strategies and our clients professionally in the community
  • Support additional grassroots organizing activities as needed
What You'll Gain

Qualifications
  • Comfortable walking door-to-door and approaching strangers to discuss political campaigns
  • Able and willing to canvass outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
  • Available to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week while the program is active
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and goal-oriented
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a team
  • Comfortable working toward measurable outreach and performance goals
  • Commitment to Democratic candidates and causes
  • Prior experience in canvassing, organizing, sales, customer service, or community engagement is a plus, but not required
