Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsibilities encompass a range of tasks such as welcoming guests, administering wristbands, overseeing elevator operations, attending to suite patrons, and upholding the exclusivity of premium areas. Team members will contribute to the seamless operation of premium areas at UK athletic facilities on home game days throughout the 2026-2027 season. Working all 7 home football games is REQUIRED, with additional game day opportunities possible throughout the year.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment, provide excellent customer service (i.e. exhibiting professional and courteous manner at all times), work well on a team and possess a working knowledge of game day policies and procedures.
  • Assist the operations team with comprehensive event execution across all UK Athletics venues and spaces.
  • Execute setup and teardown tasks for athletic contests, team practices, and external facility rentals.
  • Perform routine venue maintenance and pre/post-event housekeeping checks to ensure facilities meet safety and aesthetic standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patrons by providing directional assistance, ushering guests to seats, and answering general inquiries.
  • Monitor crowd flow and maintain safety protocols within assigned zones, collaborating with security personnel when necessary.
  • Enforce venue policies courteously and professionally to ensure a positive spectator experience.
  • Operate ticketing hardware and software systems to process sales and manage gate admissions efficiently.
  • Scan tickets, distribute credentials, and monitor entry points to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Resolve basic ticketing discrepancies or direct patrons to box office supervisors for advanced assistance.
  • Direct incoming vehicle traffic in parking lots and decks surrounding athletic venues to maximize capacity and safety.
  • Assist with vehicle staging, VIP parking management, and post-event egress routes.

Education Requirement
High School Diploma or GED
Experience Requirement
Prior customer service experience, preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Physical Demands
