Medical Device Assembler I
Location: Irvine, CA
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $19.00 - $21.50/hour + 5% Shift Differential
Shift: 2nd shift, 4/10 schedule, Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
Overview
A leading medical device implant manufacturer in Irvine is seeking detail-oriented individuals with manufacturing experience to join their growing team. This role involves precision assembly of medical devices while working under a microscope in a cleanroom environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, quality-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly of medical device components using microscopes and specialized equipment.
- Follow manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection instructions to ensure product quality.
- Adhere to FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), EN ISO 13485 standards, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Inspect work for accuracy and quality while meeting production goals.
- Learn and operate manufacturing equipment and processes efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support production objectives.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent manufacturing experience required.
- Medical device manufacturing experience required.
- 2+ years of medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working in an FDA, GMP, or ISO-regulated environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and engineering drawings written in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment
- Cleanroom, laboratory, and warehouse setting.
- Well-lit, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Frequent use of microscopes and precision assembly tools.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands throughout the workday.
- Excellent close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
