Self-Perform Construction Manager | Temp-to-Hire | Industrial / EPC Projects

I am currently recruiting for a Self-Perform Construction Manager to support large-scale industrial and EPC construction projects.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must be comfortable working on-site during the temporary period, with the ability to relocate full-time if the role converts into a permanent offer.

The role:

You will manage self-perform construction activity on site, overseeing field teams, labour planning, productivity, safety, quality and day-to-day execution across industrial project work.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage self-perform construction teams on site

• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and daily work plans

• Work closely with superintendents, project managers, engineers, QA/QC and safety teams

• Track productivity, progress and field performance

• Review drawings, work packages, schedules and construction plans

• Support planning, sequencing and issue resolution across site activities

• Ensure work is delivered safely and in line with quality and project requirements

• Lead daily coordination meetings and communicate priorities clearly

• Identify risks, delays and resource gaps early

• Support commissioning, turnover and close-out where required

What we are looking for:

• Experience managing self-perform construction teams

• Background in industrial, EPC, manufacturing, heavy commercial or infrastructure projects

• Strong field leadership experience across trades and direct labour

• Ability to read drawings, schedules and technical documentation

• Strong understanding of productivity, labour planning and site execution

• Experience coordinating with project management, engineering, QA/QC and safety teams

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment

• Strong communication skills and the ability to drive work forward

This is a strong opportunity for a self-perform construction leader looking for a long-term role after a successful temporary engagement.

Please apply with an up-to-date resume.
