Job Summary:
Plant Prefab is seeking a Finish Carpenter for a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 8-12 weeks. In this unique and challenging position, the Finish Carpenter will play an integral role in supporting factory operations by completing all carpentry-related activities within the facility. The Finish Carpenter will have the ability to perform all necessary finish carpentry tasks and work collaboratively within a cross-functional team that includes all trades and subcontractors to ensure production operations are set up for success. All work must be carried out safely while adhering to Plant Prefab's quality guidelines, policies, and standards, while supporting the culture and successful implementation of these practices. This temporary position will be based at our Tejon Ranch, CA facility and will report to the Finish Carpentry Supervisor.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Complete carpentry-related duties such as installing interior/exterior doors, slider windows/doors, closet jambs, base, casing, and any other carpentry-related activity.
  • Always complete all carpentry-related work in a safe manner that complies with all environmental and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Complete all carpentry-related work in compliance with Plant Prefab standards, Quality Manual, applicable building codes, HCD FBH 314, and other applicable regulations.
  • Build Plant Modules and Plant Panels using best practices and the latest SOPs.
  • Complete carpentry-related work according to the latest approved plans, CDS, and Shop Drawings while complying with Plant Prefab standards & quality standards.
  • Complete carpentry-related work efficiently and with minimal waste and spoilage.
  • Ensure carpentry-related work is in compliance to, and adequacy of, quality assurance procedures including the latest SOPs, and iterate those procedures as required to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Identify non-value-added operations in the organization and propose new operational procedures to achieve leaner processes.
  • Consider health, safety, sustainability, and the environment in all decisions and actions.
  • Execute various other activities as assigned to support the success of the organization.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
