This is with the Commonwealth of MA and the department of Early education and care. will be required to work onsite at 360 Merrimack St.
Description:

By providing and coordinating a range of services and assistance, EEC will continuously improve the quality, affordability and accessibility of early education and care in the Commonwealth.

EEC Seeks to hire a Temporary Full-time Bilingual (Spanish) Administrative Assistant to support EEC's Lawrence regional office for both front desk coverage and administrative support. 360 Merrimack Street, Entrance G, 3rd Floor, Suite 315, Lawrence, MA 01843

The Temporary Bilingual Administrative Assistant will report directly to the EEC Lawrence Regional Director. They will serve as the primary coverage or back up coverage for the Office Support Specialist in the office. On days that the Office Support Specialist is in the office, the Temporary Bilingual Administrative Assistant will serve as the primary front desk coverage. The Office Support Specialist will cover breaks for the Temporary Bilingual Administrative Assistant

Detailed Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs receptionist responsibilities, including
  • Greets callers warmly and ascertains the reason for calling
  • Answers inquiries and provides routine information, including necessary information for referrals to other internal and external units
    Greets visitors at the regional office and ensures appropriate personnel are notified
  • Performs general clerical functions to support the regional office, including
  • Handling all incoming and outgoing mail and distributing incoming mail to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintaining familiarity with office equipment and points of contact for additional support
  • Maintaining an appropriate stock of office supplies
  • Coordinating the use of meeting space for trainings and meetings
  • Manage conference room calendars
  • Set-up and break-down rooms before and after meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualification:

  • Fluent in oral and written Spanish and English

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and to exercise sound judgment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
