What is a Temporary Bentley OpenRoads Designer?

A Temporary Bentley OpenRoads Designer is a professional hired on a short-term or contract basis to use Bentley OpenRoads Designer software for civil engineering projects. Their responsibilities typically include designing roads, highways, and related infrastructure, as well as modeling terrain and creating detailed construction plans using OpenRoads Designer. These roles are often project-based, supporting engineering teams during periods of high demand or for specific projects that require expertise with this software. Temporary positions allow companies to access specialized skills without making long-term employment commitments.

What types of projects can a temporary Bentley OpenRoads Designer expect to work on, and how does the contract nature of the role affect daily responsibilities?

As a Temporary Bentley Openroads Designer, you will typically work on infrastructure projects such as roadway design, site development, and transportation planning. The contract nature of the position means you may join teams for a specific project phase or to address urgent workload spikes, so your daily tasks can shift rapidly between drafting designs, coordinating with engineers, and updating plan sets based on stakeholder feedback. This dynamic environment requires adaptability and strong communication to keep pace with changing project needs and timelines. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and other designers to deliver high-quality, timely results.
