Job Summary:

For more than 50 years, BARBRI has helped aspiring attorneys successfully prepare for and pass the bar exam. As a Senior Bar Success Coach, you will play a critical role in guiding students through their bar preparation journey by delivering coaching, instruction, and academic support that drives student success. This role serves as a key partner to the Director of Bar Success, leading curriculum development initiatives, supporting program execution, and helping maintain the quality and consistency of BARBRI's student-facing resources. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator, coach, and communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping students achieve their professional goals. This role also provides operational leadership for BARBRI's essay grading program through contractor onboarding, training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. This role does not offer visa sponsorship, and temporary work authorization is not eligible.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000

Job Responsibilities:

ยท Develop and maintain Bar Success curriculum, coaching resources, and student-facing materials to support bar exam preparation programs

ยท Partner with the Director of Bar Success to coordinate program deliverables, manage timelines, and ensure successful execution of Bar Success initiatives

ยท Design and deliver engaging webinars, workshops, and small-group sessions focused on study strategies, bar exam skills, time management, and student success

ยท Provide individualized coaching to students, helping them assess progress, identify challenges, and create personalized study plans

ยท Review student-facing communications and resources to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with BARBRI's educational strategy

ยท Respond to student inquiries and strategy questions through internal support channels while providing timely and effective guidance

ยท Support essay grading operations, including grader onboarding, training, quality assurance, and ongoing performance management

ยท Develop and maintain grader training materials, evaluation resources, and operational documentation to ensure consistent grading standards

ยท Collaborate with Course Delivery and Bar Success teams to address grading issues, operational concerns, and student support needs

ยท Maintain accurate records, contribute to team initiatives, and represent BARBRI at webinars, law school events, and other student-facing engagements

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

ยท Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

ยท Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia

ยท 4+ years of experience in academic support, bar preparation, legal education, teaching, tutoring, coaching, or a related field

ยท Demonstrated experience delivering presentations, training sessions, webinars, or educational programs to diverse audiences

ยท Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

ยท Ability to coach and motivate students while adapting guidance to individual learning needs and circumstances

ยท Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support student outcomes and informed decision-making

ยท Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

ยท Ability to work independently in a remote environment and support students across multiple time zones

ยท Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM or student management systems, including maintaining accurate records and documentation

ยท Prior experience working with bar review, academic success, law school support, or attorney licensing programs

ยท Experience developing educational curriculum, instructional materials, or training programs

ยท Knowledge of learning theory, adult learning principles, and student success best practices

ยท Experience training, mentoring, supervising, or providing quality assurance for instructors, graders, or coaching staff

ยท Familiarity with Salesforce or similar customer relationship management platforms
