Job Overview: 

The Event Server Assistant’s primary goal is to serve guests for each event in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. In this role, you will be given a Banquet Event Order (BEO) for each event on the day of the event. You will use this sheet to review the type of event and set up the space with the proper service items. It is your primary responsibility to assist the Event Server & Event Bartender with any needs prior to, during, and after the event.  


Primary Duties: 

  • Assisting in event set up in accordance to the Banquet Event Order (BEO). This includes setting up food stations, NA beverage stations, setting tables, restocking and polishing glassware, setting and polishing cutlery, etc.  
  • Assisting with running food, and bussing throughout the event 
  • Assisting the servers and bartenders with water and wine service and restocking needed supplies throughout the event 

Executing Service: 

  • Assist with setting up all needed products and materials for service before the event to ensure efficient and accurate preparation of food based on Banquet Event Order (BEO) 
  • Check in and out with event leadership team to ensure set up and breakdown are clear and understood 
  • Work hand and hand with other event staff to ensure there is a smooth understanding of roles and responsibilities during the event 

Additional Duties: 

  • Ensure high quality of cleanliness and organization throughout the club 
  • Uphold Nexus Club’s visions and values while performing positional responsibilities 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as stated in the employee handbook 
  • Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned by event leadership

Requirements:

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma required 
  • At least 2 years of hospitality service experience. Experience with private clubs, fine dining, or luxury goods is preferred 
  • At least 1 year in a server assistant, busser, or barback role 

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A professional appearance which meets NEXUS’s Personal Presentation Policies
  • Flexible availability on a week-to-week basis and availability to work nights, weekends, and potential holidays
