Brief Job Description:
Under the direction of the Video Services manager, this position produces health and human services videos and maintains a flexible schedule as needed to meet deadlines. The role is based in an Austin-area studio with limited telework availability.
Within the HHS application, applicant must include one or more links to a demo reel that highlights video work. Final candidates will be required to complete a videography and motion graphics practical skill assessment.
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Captures 4K video using cinema-grade cameras, audio and lighting equipment for studio and on-location productions.
  2. Edits footage and creates motion graphics - including chroma-key compositing, opening title sequences, lower-third name supers and end credits - using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  3. Serves as project lead, ensures preproduction, production and postproduction timelines and distribution goals are met.
  4. Manages production setups and coordinates equipment transport and crew travel to off-site shoots.
  5. Utilizes unit database, server and agency YouTube channels to track, archive and distribute work.
  6. Operates teleprompter and works with editorial team to ensure text is written and edited in accordance with agency brand.
  7. Maintains equipment security, performs regular inventory checks, and ensures proper care and organization of production gear.
  8. Evaluates third-party video submissions and maintains awareness of evolving editing software and video-production trends.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
