Job description

Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated DC Supervisor to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We're growing, so if you've ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.
SUMMARY: Responsible for an area of the DC such as receiving, shipping, packing, or processing. Responsible for the daily operation of their assigned department by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Makes work assignments to associates
* Plans daily activity based on work on hand plus anticipated new work
* Plans staff needs with management and requests new hires and temporary labor as needed
* Trains associates on current work procedures
* Answers questions from associates. Brings issues to management and/or Human Resources as required
* Monitors attendance, punctuality, production rates and quality for each associate. Councils and corrects as required
* Monitors work flow and backlog and takes appropriate action to remedy any problems
* Handles special projects and assignments as needed
