Job Title:Temporary Exhibitions PreparatorDepartment:Wexner Center for Arts | Administration

Assist the Wexner Center for the Arts exhibitions team with museum-quality art handling related to the installation and de-installation of exhibitions. This position supports the preparation of gallery spaces and the execution of exhibition designs.

Key Responsibilities

Move artwork (various sizes and weights) and shipping crates

Assist with packing and unpacking artwork using museum best practices

Hang and install artwork using appropriate tools, equipment, and systems

Clean and prepare gallery spaces for exhibitions

Perform patching and painting of gallery walls

Assist with light carpentry, fabrication, and demolition work

Support implementation of exhibition display designs

Safely use ladders and equipment including vertical mast and scissor lifts

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Qualifications & Requirements

Ability to follow direction and work safely as part of a team

Understanding of or willingness to learn museum art handling best practices

Experience with interior painting, shop equipment, and hand tools required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $15.15 - $19.79 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
