Job description

Employee Status: Temporary, Unpaid (10-15 hours per week)

Location: Remote

About Us

Mamaya Health is a specialized women's mental health company- and we are looking for passionate individuals to help us bring this mission to life. We are the mental health platform built for every season of a woman's life: pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Our clinicians, therapy services, medication management, and evidence-based programs are designed to meet women exactly where they are.

Mamaya Health exists for one reason: women deserve mental health care that actually understands them. We specialize in the moments most systems overlook - postpartum, perimenopause, fertility, and everything in between - and we accept most major insurances so that access isn't the barrier. We're growing quickly, building new programs, and looking for people who want their work to mean something.

Our mission is to provide women with the specialized mental health care they deserve at every stage of life - from menstruation through menopause.

Internship Period: July 1, 2026 - December 1, 2026

Position Overview

As our Content & Communications Intern, you'll be Mamaya Health's written voice - crafting blog posts, Mailchimp email campaigns, and communications that reflect our brand with warmth, expertise, and authenticity. You'll serve as the editorial touchstone for the team: reviewing the social media content calendar before it goes live to ensure every post sounds unmistakably like Mamaya. This role sits at the intersection of writing, brand strategy, and marketing - and it's a rare chance to help shape the public voice of a women's mental health company at the moment of its national launch. If you love writing and want your words to help women access support they actually need, this role is for you.

Your Impact Metric (KPI)

You measure your impact by the number of content pieces published, email open and click rates, and the consistency of brand voice across all Mamaya channels - all of which directly supports completed client sessions and our company's overall growth goals.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Health, or a related field.
  • An excellent writer with a clear, warm, and professional voice - you can write for a general audience without losing clinical nuance or sensitivity.
  • Knowledgeable about brand voice and messaging consistency - you can spot off-brand language immediately and know how to correct it.
  • Organized and detail-oriented - you can manage a content review calendar, hold deadlines, and give clear, actionable feedback.
  • Collaborative and communicative - you work well with a social media coordinator and graphic designer to keep the full content production cycle on track.
  • Passionate about women's health and mental health - you understand the sensitivity of the topics we cover and approach them thoughtfully.
  • Approach your work with curiosity, kindness, and a growth mindset.

Job Duties + Functions

  • Write, edit, and publish blog posts for the Mamaya Health website covering topics across the full women's mental health lifespan - pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.
  • Draft and manage Mailchimp email campaigns - writing copy, structuring content, and tracking performance metrics (open rates, clicks, unsubscribes).
  • Maintain and refine Mamaya's brand voice guidelines to ensure consistency across all written content, platforms, and contributors.
  • Review the monthly social media content calendar submitted by the Social Media Coordinator Intern and provide brand voice and messaging feedback before content is published.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Design Intern to ensure written content and visual assets are cohesive and aligned.
  • Support communications strategy and copywriting for Mamaya's July 1 nationwide brand launch and ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to additional brand messaging, website copy, or partnership communications as needed.

Support + Empowerment

The Content & Communications Intern is supported + empowered by the CGO.
