Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician to join our team at our composite repair facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a full‑time position that will focus on aircraft composite repairs. The role reports to the Director of Production, MRO and requires the candidate to complete all tasks in accordance with company quality standards, FAA regulations, and our customers' approved maintenance manuals.

Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
  • Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
  • Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
  • Know the proper use of heat control units.
  • Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant, as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
  • Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; technical or trade school certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in aviation component repairs.
  • Basic computer skills required such as Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
