Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our Forensic Mental Health Program team.

This announcement will be used to fill permanent, full-time and part-time, benefit eligible positions and intermittent positions at Forensic Mental Health Program on rotating shift and night shift.

The Forensic Mental Health Program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides experienced, professional nursing care to clients in a therapeutic environment. Assess the needs of clients, develops individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team, provides direct nursing interventions and/or delegates specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved nursing school

  • Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.

  • Ability to pass/perform CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Intervention.

  • Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.

  • Bachelor's of Nursing degree.
