QUALITY ENGINEER – AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING


We are hiring a Quality Engineer for a precision aerospace manufacturing company in Irvine.

We welcome both experienced Quality Engineers and junior candidates with an engineering, quality inspection, or regulated manufacturing background. Training is available for motivated candidates who have a strong technical foundation and want to grow in Quality Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T requirements.
  • Support First Article Inspections and quality documentation.
  • Investigate nonconforming materials and assist with corrective actions.
  • Perform or support dimensional inspections.
  • Help maintain control plans, inspection records and quality procedures.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and Inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support audits, process improvements and compliance requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or education in Quality, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or a related engineering field.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Experience in aerospace, precision manufacturing, medical devices, automotive or another regulated industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, FAIRs, SPC, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, MSA or root-cause analysis is helpful but not required for junior candidates.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within an aerospace Quality Engineering environment.

ITAR REQUIREMENT

This position requires eligibility to access ITAR-controlled products and technical data. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable federal regulations without requiring employer sponsorship or an export license.

Pay: $30–$40 per hour, based on directly related experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
