Systems Administrator

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204
Pay: $40–$41.42/hr W2
Duration: 6-Month Contract | Possible Extension / Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid after training | Local candidates only
Start: 1–2 Weeks


Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join an enterprise IT environment supporting critical infrastructure, servers, virtualization, and cloud technologies. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure professional looking for a long-term opportunity with potential for direct hire.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot VMware/vSphere, Windows Server, and Linux/Oracle Linux environments.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, sFTP, user access, and server security.
  • Monitor system performance, backups, capacity, and overall infrastructure health.
  • Troubleshoot server, application, virtualization, and infrastructure issues.
  • Support cloud infrastructure, deployments, APIs, and enterprise applications.
  • Assist with patching, disaster recovery, incident resolution, and system restoration.
  • Work with IT teams to improve infrastructure reliability, security, and performance.
  • Provide technical support and participate in an on-call rotation.


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of Systems Administration or Infrastructure experience.
  • Strong VMware/vSphere + Windows Server + Linux experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory and networking services.
  • Knowledge of SQL, PowerShell/Shell scripting, backups, monitoring, and security.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/certifications.


Preferred: AWS, Azure, VMware SRM, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, Python, Bash, ITIL, or cloud migration experience.
