Temperature Controls Technician

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Temperature Controls Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, programming, calibrating, and maintaining temperature and HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial clients. You’ll ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Install and commission temperature control systems, sensors, and related HVAC automation equipment.

· Program and commission DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems.

· Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance and energy efficiency.

· Troubleshoot and repair control systems to maintain optimal performance.

· Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on temperature and environmental control systems.

· Collaborate with project managers, end users, and facility personnel to support ongoing projects.

· Provide technical support and training for clients.

· Document all work performed, including test results and system changes.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).

· 2+ years of experience in temperature control, HVAC, or building automation systems.

· Working knowledge of control logic, electrical systems, and instrumentation.

· Familiarity with control platforms.

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
