The Workforce Management Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for timekeeping, attendance tracking, and scheduling across U.S. and Canadian operations, with a primary focus on UKG and related payroll systems. In this role, you will support and optimize workforce management solutions, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and provide data-driven insights that improve labor forecasting, scheduling strategy, and overall workforce efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for UKG Workforce Management timekeeping, attendance tracking, and scheduling across U.S. and Canadian operations, with eventual responsibility for labor forecasting and analytics.
- Work closely with business operations, IT, HR, and external system vendors to support existing workforce, time and attendance, and scheduling systems, and to optimize solutions through process improvements, system enhancements, and new technology implementations.
- Ensure that timekeeping and workforce scheduling systems comply with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws and regulations, as well as internal corporate governance requirements in both the U.S. and Canada.
- Monitor and validate the accurate capture of worked hours, attendance exceptions such as late arrivals, no-shows, early departures, and breaks, as well as PTO and leave usage and schedule adherence prior to payroll processing.
- Identify system or process deficiencies related to workforce management, timekeeping, scheduling, and labor balance monitoring, and recommend and implement improvements to workflow, controls, documentation, and automation.
- Act as a liaison between payroll, HR, operations, and IT by gathering and documenting business requirements for time and attendance and scheduling processes, and translating them into clear technical specifications for system improvements and enhancements.
- Provide reporting and analytics on time and attendance data, including absence trends, exception volumes, schedule adherence, and labor cost variances, and support the development of forecasted labor models, staffing recommendations, and scheduling strategies.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, analytics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of related experience in time and attendance, scheduling, workforce management, or an equivalent function.
- Experience working within UKG and payroll systems, with strong understanding of how timekeeping and scheduling data impact payroll.
- Previous experience in a large, complex, multi-jurisdiction enterprise environment spanning the U.S. and Canada.
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting HCM, workforce management, time and attendance, or scheduling systems such as UKG Pro, Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Kronos Central, ADP eTime, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, and strong working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects or initiatives, such as system rollouts, process improvements, or training programs.
Work Environment
This role is based in a hybrid work environment in downtown Seattle, with on-site work required Monday through Thursday and typical hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office features a modern headquarters with a rooftop view of the city and nearby stadiums, creating a vibrant and engaging setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
