Job description

) Join our compassionate, professional team at Horsham Center for Jewish Life, a 324-bed long-term care facility dedicated to promoting active, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyles for all residents.
ISH Healthcare is seeking a dependable and experienced Full-Time Kitchen-Tray Line Supervisor 30 hours a week (days, nights and weekends included) to oversee daily kitchen operations. The Kitchen-Tray Line Supervisor will prepare nutritious meals, supervise kitchen staff, maintain food safety standards, and ensure high-quality dining services for residents and guests.
The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and passionate about providing excellent food service in a healthcare or senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily food preparation and service
  • Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, dietary requirements, and portion standards
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and health department regulations
  • Monitor food quality, temperature logs, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and proper food storage
  • Coordinate meal service to ensure timely delivery to residents
  • Train and mentor dietary staff on kitchen procedures and safety practices
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment
  • Work collaboratively with dietary management and healthcare staff to accommodate resident dietary needs
Qualifications
  • Previous cooking and supervisory experience required
  • Experience in healthcare, nursing home, rehabilitation, or senior living dining services preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching required
