Job Title: Sheet Metal ForemanJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Foreman to supervise and coordinate the activities of craft personnel engaged in the fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal products, systems, and structures. This role involves overseeing all aspects of commercial and industrial construction, including new construction, renovations, and remodels.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, schedule, supervise, and inspect the work of skilled roofers and trades helpers engaged in covering roofs with roofing materials.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems.
  • Review and evaluate work progress of roofing shop roofers and trades helpers.
  • Oversee related administrative functions such as hiring and writing annual performance evaluations.
  • Inspect re-roofing and related roofing work during progress and upon completion to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Perform infrared and thermal inspections of roofing systems to determine water infiltration.
  • Evaluate and determine requirements and roofing material needs for various projects.
  • Order materials for specific projects.
  • Maintain maintenance and roof system warranty logs.
  • Meet with bonding company representatives regarding roofs under warranty.
  • Communicate daily with the Madison General Manager about current and upcoming projects.
Essential Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in the field of flats and metal work.
  • Experience overseeing others in commercial or residential industries.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
