Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Storm Technician to join our team. The Storm Technician will be responsible for setting up and maintaining base camps that support first responders and the public during storm and emergency situations. These base camps provide essential housing, restrooms, showers, and other necessary amenities to ensure comfort and operational efficiency.
Job Classification: Full-time, salary-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and dismantle base camps in storm-affected or emergency areas.
  • Install and maintain temporary housing units, restroom facilities, showers, and other camp amenities.
  • Coordinate with first responders and emergency management teams to ensure camp needs are met.
  • Ensure all facilities are safe, sanitary, and operational throughout the duration of the deployment.
  • Manage inventory and logistics related to camp equipment and supplies.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of camp infrastructure.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any technical or operational issues on-site.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to protect self and others during setup and operations.
  • Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck for big events and standard trailer deliveries when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Experience as a Storm Technician or similar role in emergency response or disaster relief settings.
  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical stamina and capability to handle manual labor and equipment setup.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and emergency response protocols.
  • CDL License preferred / CDL - non hazardous. Liquids, potable water, trailering
  • Must be able to pull trailers
  • 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years preferred
  • Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends during Storm season.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License or similar classification to operate a pump truck required.
  • On call status / Extended hours and time away from home / Days/Nights
  • Deployable within the US
