Job description

Sewing machine operator with material handler experience.

Manufacturing of web slings and cargo tie downs

Temp To Hire: Full Time; Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm, $17-$18/hr

Operate industrial sewing equipment to stitch nylon strap material creating slings and cargo securement products, sewing hardware components to nylon strapping material. Ensure high-quality construction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Operate industrial sewing machinery to join, reinforce, nylon strapping, and nylon strap to secure hardware components.

Production & Assembly:guide material under needles to sew, ensure consistent, strong, and accurate stitches.

Quality Control: Inspects finished items and in-process work for defects, such as broken stitches, missed seams, or misalignments, correct errors as needed.

Workflow Efficiency: Reviews work orders to determine the necessary, correct materials and techniques.

Safety & Cleanliness: Maintains a safe, clean, and organized workstation, following all company health and safety procedures.

Daily Tasks vary to meet customer requirements; flexibility is a must.

Experience: Previous experience with sewing machines or manufacturing beneficial.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in threading, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, and understanding sewing techniques, good hand-eye coordination.

Physical Stamina & Dexterity: Ability to lift 40 lbs, moderate manual dexterity and the ability to stand or sit for long periods, handle heavy or thick materials, fast-paced work.

Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and work orders.

Communication skills; read and write English
