Job Title: Continuous Improvement Leader
Location: Saint-Bruno, Quebec
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

About the Opportunity:
We are currently hiring two experienced Continuous Improvement Leaders to join a large-scale engineering and industrial environment in Saint-Bruno, Quebec.

The positions will support two distinct areas of the organization: one will be primarily dedicated to Engineering, while the second will have a broader cross-functional / Train Development Site (TDS) focus supporting teams such as Quality, Procurement, Industrialization, Project Management, and Bids & Tenders.

Both positions will play an important role in driving Lean transformation and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the organization. The successful candidates will lead improvement projects, coach Green Belts, facilitate structured problem solving, support KPI improvement, deliver training, and work closely with teams and senior leadership to improve quality, cost, lead time, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Lead Black Belt projects and coach Green Belt projects
  • Drive cross-functional process improvement and transformation initiatives
  • Develop problem-solving capabilities across teams
  • Facilitate root cause analysis using A3, 8D, DMAIC and PDCA methodologies
  • Support KPI and performance management initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops and improvement sessions
  • Deliver Lean, Continuous Improvement and problem-solving training
  • Coach and mentor teams on Lean methodologies
  • Support process mapping and end-to-end process improvements
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Industrialization, Project Management and other functions
  • Support Visual Management and Short Interval Management practices

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, or equivalent
  • 8–10+ years of Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or transformation experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with root cause analysis, process mapping and KPI management
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable coaching, facilitating workshops and working with senior leadership
  • Fully bilingual in French and English

Experience within manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, rail, automotive, or other operationally complex environments is strongly preferred. Exposure to mature Lean production systems such as APSYS, Toyota Production System, ACE, AES, or similar methodologies would be considered an asset.

Les deux postes soutiendront des secteurs distincts de l'organisation. Un poste sera principalement dédié à l'Ingénierie, tandis que le deuxième aura une portée plus transversale au niveau du Train Development Site (TDS) et travaillera notamment avec les équipes de Qualité, Approvisionnement, Industrialisation, Gestion de projets et Appels d'offres.

Les personnes retenues joueront un rôle clé dans le déploiement des initiatives Lean et d'amélioration continue. Elles dirigeront des projets d'amélioration, accompagneront les Green Belts, faciliteront la résolution structurée de problèmes, contribueront à l'amélioration des KPI et offriront de la formation aux différentes équipes.

Principales responsabilités :

  • Diriger des initiatives Lean et d'amélioration continue
  • Piloter des projets Black Belt et accompagner les projets Green Belt
  • Diriger des initiatives d'amélioration transversales
  • Développer l'expertise en résolution de problèmes au sein des équipes
  • Faciliter les analyses de causes fondamentales à l'aide des méthodologies A3, 8D, DMAIC et PDCA
  • Soutenir l'amélioration et la gestion des indicateurs de performance (KPI)
  • Animer des ateliers et des séances d'amélioration
  • Offrir des formations Lean, Six Sigma et en résolution de problèmes
  • Accompagner et conseiller les équipes dans l'application des pratiques Lean
  • Soutenir la cartographie et l'amélioration des processus de bout en bout
  • Collaborer avec l'Ingénierie, la Qualité, l'Approvisionnement, l'Industrialisation, la Gestion de projets et d'autres fonctions
  • Soutenir les pratiques de gestion visuelle et de Short Interval Management (SIM)

Qualifications recherchées :

  • Diplôme en génie industriel, mécanique, électrique, systèmes, aérospatial ou équivalent
  • 8 à 10+ années d'expérience en amélioration continue, excellence opérationnelle ou transformation
  • Certification Lean Six Sigma Green Belt requise; Black Belt privilégiée
  • Expérience démontrée dans la gestion d'initiatives d'amélioration transversales
  • Excellente connaissance des méthodologies Lean et Six Sigma
  • Expérience en analyse des causes fondamentales, cartographie des processus et gestion des KPI
  • Solides compétences en gestion du changement et en mobilisation des parties prenantes
  • Capacité à accompagner les équipes, animer des ateliers et travailler avec la haute direction
  • Parfaitement bilingue français et anglais

Une expérience dans les secteurs manufacturier, industriel, aérospatial, ferroviaire, automobile ou dans un autre environnement opérationnel complexe est fortement souhaitée. Une expérience avec un système Lean structuré tel qu'APSYS, Toyota Production System, ACE, AES ou une approche similaire constitue un atout important.
