Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Project Manager / Superintendent

Location: West Lafayette, IN
Project Type: Advanced Manufacturing / High-Tech Construction
Schedule: Onsite Monday–Friday | Approximately 45–50 hours/week
Project Duration: Through October 2028

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Project Manager / Superintendent for a large-scale advanced manufacturing construction project in West Lafayette, Indiana.

This is a long-term opportunity for a construction professional who can take ownership of major civil, structural, and architectural scopes from field execution through commissioning and turnover. The position will work closely with general contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and project leadership to drive safety, schedule, quality, constructability, and successful project completion.

Semiconductor construction experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong advanced-facility experience in Oil & Gas, BioPharma/Pharmaceutical, Mission Critical/Data Centers, or other clean/high-tech construction environments will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead CSA construction activities across civil, structural, architectural, and site scopes.
  • Oversee General Contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality execution in accordance with project requirements.
  • Drive safety performance through field presence, planning, contractor accountability, and coordination with project safety teams.
  • Manage scope, schedule, quality, logistics, site coordination, and subcontractor performance.
  • Serve in an Owner's Representative capacity, working closely with the GC and providing practical construction leadership.
  • Utilize Primavera P6 to review schedules, sequencing, progress, critical-path activities, and potential schedule impacts.
  • Work with design teams to provide constructability input and resolve field/design issues.
  • Manage and track RFIs, technical submittals, change orders, and CSA-related documentation.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure field execution aligns with design intent.
  • Maintain accurate progress records, including site activities, labor hours, marked-up drawings, subcontractor progress, and schedule activities.
  • Identify CSA construction risks and implement mitigation strategies before they affect safety, schedule, cost, or quality.
  • Coordinate CSA activities with mechanical, electrical, process, and other project disciplines.
  • Support temporary facilities, including installation, operation, modification, and eventual demolition.
  • Lead CSA scopes through punch list, commissioning, validation, room readiness, startup support, and final turnover.
  • Maintain strong communication with project leadership, contractors, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of construction experience with progressive responsibility as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, Superintendent, or similar construction leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Civil, Structural and/or Architectural construction scopes on large industrial or technically complex projects.
  • Experience managing General Contractors, subcontractors, field activities, schedules, quality, and construction documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change management, constructability, project controls, and field coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting commissioning, validation, startup, punch list, room readiness, and project closeout.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, large-scale construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Semiconductor / advanced manufacturing construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with BioPharma, pharmaceutical, mission critical/data center, oil & gas, clean manufacturing, or other advanced industrial facilities.
  • Strong Primavera P6 experience, including schedule review, sequencing, progress updates, and critical-path analysis.
  • Previous Owner's Representative or EPC/EPCM experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a long-term project extending through October 2028 with the opportunity to work on a major advanced manufacturing construction program. The position offers competitive compensation, paid time off, paid holidays, and per diem and relocation assistance for qualified travelers or relocating candidates.
