Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communication, Finance, or a closely related field
  • Five (5) years of related experience in fundraising, scholarships, donor relations or related responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan for the Foundation, including targets for restricted and unrestricted giving through the annual giving campaign, major giving, endowment programs and events. Create and execute a strategy for a large sustainable base of annual individual donors. Requires working with Director of Alumni Relations & Development for outreach and solicitation of alumni donors and on the development and growth of annual employee giving campaign.
  • Create strategic and tactical plans for engaging community leaders, organizations, and other engaged persons with a goal of raising additional funds in support of specific programs. Serves on boards/organizations whose value to the College extends beyond the specific nature of such entities as a way of building capacity and connections to others who would otherwise not necessarily have awareness and information about all the College provides to our community.
  • Assist in building and growing a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors and corporations. Requires documentation of rating and screening procedures for prospects with highest giving potential. Includes utilization of naming opportunities for gift recognition and building of funds for scholarship portfolio and further development of an established donor stewardship program.
  • Serve as liaison for areas of responsibility with other individuals, groups, and organizations both internal and external to the College community. Assists the Vice President in hiring and management of support staff, including student workers.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and meet goals is required.
  • Experience with developing and managing budgets is required.
  • Knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as Microsoft Suite and donor database management software, such as Raiser's Edge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and be flexible to meet the demands of the College.
  • Take direction as well as work effectively and professionally on their own.
