Job description

Temporary Part-Time Manufacturing Recruiter to support high-volume hiring needs for production roles and additional positions as assigned. This role combines onsite collaboration with supervisors and flexible remote sourcing and screening. The recruiter will focus on building strong candidate pipelines, evaluating qualifications, and ensuring alignment with company culture and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize recruiting for multiple production roles, building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines.
  • Work onsite in Niles, IL one day per week (approx. 6 hours) to meet supervisors, review resumes, discuss candidate qualifications, and gain a clear understanding of culture and job expectations.
  • Conduct full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating next steps.
  • Utilize job boards, social media, referrals, and proactive outreach to attract qualified candidates.
  • Review resumes and assess candidate experience for alignment with production needs and company standards.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and hiring managers to align on role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities.
  • Schedule interviews and support the hiring process through offer coordination as needed.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting documentation and candidate tracking.
  • Provide weekly updates on pipeline activity, challenges, and hiring progress.
  • Support additional recruiting needs beyond production roles as hiring priorities evolve.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience; manufacturing or high-volume hourly recruiting strongly preferred.
  • Ability to commute to Niles, IL once per week for onsite collaboration.
  • Strong sourcing skills and experience identifying candidates for production environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with supervisors and candidates.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible remote schedule.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments, production workflows, or similar industries is a plus.
