Temporary Landscape Laborer
Location: Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $20.71 to $20.71 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM
Position Type: Temporary
The Arc of San Diego is seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape Laborer to support grounds maintenance operations at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, a military base in San Diego. This temporary opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining professional landscapes, and have experience operating landscaping equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform landscape and grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, planting, raking, sweeping, and trash removal.
  • Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, blowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, tractors, and other groundskeeping tools.
  • Load and unload equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Complete work assignments efficiently and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with team members and customers.

Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related outdoor labor experience.
  • Experience operating landscaping power equipment and riding lawn mowers.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
