THIS POSITION IS FOR TEMPORARY WORK AND OUTAGE WORK.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of all classifications through Laborer.

  • Position will be located all through Florida.

  • Perform all job responsibilities safely.

  • Plant housekeeping to including cleaning on and around large equipment and industrial machinery.

  • Staging tools and materials at work sites.

  • Cleaning up work areas once jobs are completed.

  • High pressure water hose wash down of equipment, roads, conveyors and walkways

  • Janitor duties such as cleaning restrooms and locker room areas.

  • Additional responsibilities at an Energy Complex may include:

  • Use of large push broom to sweep off walkways, tripper rooms (rooms with multiple layers of conveyors where loose coal collects on the floor and on equipment)

  • Use of shovel to remove piles of loose coal and loose construction material within shop areas, tripper rooms, on inclines and decline walkways, and coal moving equipment.

  • Cleaning the cascade room (an enclosed room containing coal conveyors) using shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows and respirators.

Working Conditions

  • Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility

  • Must possess good dexterity

  • Must not be impaired by colorblindness

  • Must be able to adjust to work in hot, cold, damp, and dry environment

  • Must be able to climb and work in high places

  • Must have the ability to work various hours such as second and third shifts; weekends and extended work hours.

  • Must be capable of working around rotating equipment and high pressure systems of power stations

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces

  • Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment

  • Must be able to perform all duties required for this position.

  • Must be able to work safe at all times.

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • Must not be impaired by colorblindness

  • Must be able to lift ; up to 10 lbs frequently; 25 lbs occasionally.

  • Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
