Job description

Temporary Lab Technician Position

Location: 2415 Ponderosa, Lawrence KS

Starting Pay Rate: $18/hr for high school graduates with no experience, or $20/hr for a college graduate or someone with previous lab experience.

The Client Animal Health lab in Lawrence, KS is looking to add a temporary worker for the rest of 2024, with a possibility to extend the contract into 2025. We would prefer the lab technician to work 40 hrs a week (day shift – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm M-F) but are okay with flex shifts down to 30 hrs/week – (e.g. the same day shift but T-F (Mondays off) or day shift with as few as 6 hrs/day (9:00 am to 3:00 pm M-F) to allow candidates that have other responsibilities the ability to apply. 100% onsite role. Possibility of extension. 40hrs/week (M-F). This is a lab-based role but is more "Wet" lab work than analytical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Prior laboratory experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

• Good documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work within a team environment.

Personality: Team player, good work ethics, motivated to work independently.

Physical requirement: Able to lift 25 lbs, require prolonged standing and manual labor work.

Responsibilities
